About

smittengluttonHello everyone!

As suggested from the name Smitten Glutton, you can probably tell that I’m a bona fide food lover.

The thing about food that truly fascinates me is its intrinsic ability to bring people together – I’ve always strived to be someone like that. I love the thought of a home-cooked dinner that gathers together the entire family; of spending girly-time with your closest friends over dessert; of making new friends or catching up with old ones over cheap, yummy hawker fare. There is simply so much more about a meal than the food per se: it is really the people and their stories that complete the entire dining experience.

This is the very reason I started this blog. Here, I want to take you on a gastronomical adventure around Singapore’s food scene – whether it be hawker foods, indie cafes or the latest food fads – as well as put up simple, comforting home recipes for all to enjoy so that you and the people you love can continue to create more of your very own stories, together.

With love,
Feline

      • Yep, the weather is something else… I actually lucked out and had lovely (but hot) weather when I visited Singapore, but I remember going to the 2005 World Expo in Aichi, Japan, and the Singapore Pavilion had a nice ode to the weather there—they built a structure that had sporadic rainstorms *inside* the building, so they handed out umbrellas to everyone stepping in to visit. 🙂
